The traditional cloth making method and other crafts have been abandoned by indigenous people because of modern life style and industrial technology. CANDO Craft Center, just like CCD, like to preserve their culture and tradition. Participate in APICC 

The CCD joined the Asian and Pacific Islander Cultural Celebration (APICC) on Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Historical Society of Washington, DC (formerly known as the " City Museum "). The celebration is part of the Mayor's May Asian Pacific American Heritage Month activities.   Read more ...

Scholarship

In an effort to help rebuild higher education in Cambodia, the CCD is proud to be a donor of three scholarship awards to poor but bright students attending University in Cambodia, through CEE Foundation. Each scholarship is worth $300.

Replica of Angkor Wat

We have bought a replica of Angkor Wat (picture shown below). It is a sculpture made out from stone, by a sculptor in Pursat province, Cambodia. It is 1.3 meter long, 1.1 meter wide and .35 meter high. It took more than 2 months to complete the sculpture. Click the picture to enlarge.
